Advertising is a creative art. True, there is a need for careful market analysis, facts and figures, however the business end of marketing is all about reaching out new customers in creative ways so that our target audience should be connected for long time. There has never been a better time to be involved in marketing, not because people are buying more, because they aren’t, but because there are lots of creative ways to market businesses, that, quite frankly, didn’t exist just a few years ago.
The raft on which these innovations have come is the internet. Many would argue that the internet as we have it today is basically a marketing platform. This is perhaps an over-exaggeration, however no-one would argue that the internet as we see it today doesn’t have a marketing dimension.
Looked at purely from the perspective of business this is of course a good thing, and with this in mind, let’s look at the creative ways you can market your business.
Paid Advertising
Google and Facebook make their money because businesses pay for advertising space on their platforms. These kinds of platforms can deliver huge exposure, however they can be expensive, and you should never rush into this kind of advertising lightly.
E Cards
E card have been part of the internet for many years now. They too can be used for marketing purposes, e.g. for sending business holiday e- cards. Electronic business holiday cards can work because they are cost effective, and create eco-friendly contact with customers – much better than sending a paper card.
Social Media
Some would argue that the future is brighter for a social media outlet like Facebook than it is for a search engine. The social aspect can work especially well for businesses, however to succeed on social media you have to necessarily “be social.”
