Almost every country has a day on which they light fireworks in celebration of some sort of event. In the United Kingdom, we have Guy Fawkes. In the Netherlands, fireworks get lit with New Year. The Americans have the 4th of July, the French have the 14th of July and the Chinese have Chinese New Year. ACME fireworks can provide you with fantastic pieces of fireworks for each of these occasions. However, sometimes things go wrong and it is important to recognize why they go wrong.
The Problem with Kids
The vast majority of fireworks accidents actually happen the day after the huge celebration. What happens here is that kids start digging through the fireworks leftovers, trying to find fireworks that didn’t quite go off. They then put their lighter to it and all too often, the firework explodes in their hand. This has resulted in some truly horrific injuries and the fact that it is completely avoidable by simply leaving discarded fireworks alone makes it all the worse. ACME fireworks warn people about these dangers.
The Problem with Fuses
One other reason why accidents happen with fireworks is because of the fuses and, in fairness, because of the price of fireworks. Sometimes, for whatever reason, a fuse stops burning before it actually manages to ignite the firework. Unfortunately, this means that the firework needs to be discarded of. Many people, however, look at how much they have paid for their ACME fireworks and think that this would be a complete waste of money and that the fuse looks long enough for them to light and run off. Unfortunately, they are very often wrong. If they fuse doesn’t burn all the way down, you have lost that item of fireworks, don’t take any chances. The reality is that deaths have occurred.
