Otherwise known as the Site Management Safety Training Scheme, there are multiple aims and objectives with this course. It is recommended that those who attend the course do so for all of the sessions because if they do not they won’t be awarded with the Construction Site Manager’s Safety Certificate.
Once the SMSTS course has been passed, it will not need refreshing for five years. However, as legislation and technology changes as each year passes it is recommended that the time needed in order to retake the course is actually three years.
