Nissan Juke

The Nissan Juke is a great car. It is one of the new breed of cars known as a crossover. These vehicles are designed to be a highbred of ordinary cars and SUVs or MPVs. Owners love them because it gives them the best of both worlds.

When it was first introduced in 2010, many eyebrows were raised. The car had a unique look, which many were sceptical about it. They felt that its unusual looks would put potential buyers off. However, the opposite proved to be the case. People were curious about the Juke and when they took a closer look, out of curiosity, they were impressed. Even Nissan were surprised by the car’s almost instantaneous success. They expected to sell 1,300 cars a month in Japan, in the first month they sold nearly 11,000. The same kind of thing happened when they launched in Europe.

Who Is the Nissan Juke Suitable For?

The Juke was designed as a lifestyle car rather than primarily as a family car. However, a lot of families are buying them. If you have teenagers things may be a bit tight, but for a family with young children it is ideal with plenty of storage space. The fact that it is easy to get into and out of is also attracting a older buyers.

One of the things people like the most about the Juke is how it drives. It has a high driving position, yet holds the road well. Acceleration is good and it is comfortable in the back as well as in the front.

How Economical is the Nissan Juke?

Nissan have never claimed that the Juke is the most economical car on the market. However, it does actually perform quite well on that front. If you choose the right model, it falls into band D for road tax, even the 1.6 falls into band G. The Nissan Juke is in insurance groups 15 to 21. Fuel economy is not quite as good as it is for other crossover vehicles, but the best model manages 55.4 mpg on an urban cycle.
